“Happy birthday.”
The man gave the women a present and she thanked him with a smile: “Thank you. We should meet again around the same time next year.”
How many people have said that line to me today?
Some made excuses as to why they couldn’t come, promising that they would definitely make it next year and the others, well they didn’t even bother to hide their disinterest in her invitation.
However, this man, this man is different from them.
He looked at her and a huge smile bloomed across his face, leaving one with no doubt that what he said next was completely sincere.
“Yeah Let’s, I’m looking forward to it already!”
